father's day weekend 2009

We were exhausted from Jamaica, but Reesey and I wanted to make sure Reg still had a good, well deserved fathers day. We started off with a baseball game on Saturday night. We indulged in our favorite baseball food---half smokes and chili cheese fries from Ben's Chili Bowl, popcorn, and dippin dots! The weather was perfect!! We really enjoyed ourselves, and reese was cheering along with everyone. We didnt stay til the end, but the Nationals won in overtime!

On Sunday, we went to church in the morning and went to Reggie's favorite place to eat: TODAI!! hahaha, if you know us well, then you know that's a regular for us. They served dinner all day, so reggie enjoyed his two lobster tails, crab legs, three plates of sushi, dessert etc.... (who knows where it all goes). As always, Reese tried to copy her dad and eat as much as he did....she ended up eating so much that she puked!! Poor baby! :)

Overall, we had a good father's day, and hopefully reggie enjoyed it!

jamaica trip 2009

i officially suck at keeping this updated. I won't make any excuses, so I'll just move on...hahahah.

We decided to take reesey on her first trip out of the country...to JAMAICA!! It was a much needed vacation for reg and i, and we definitely wanted to spend some quality time with reese. Its a rare occasion for reese to spend all week with both her mommy and daddy. I was a little hesitant about the flight and the resort, but everything turned out great! The beach, the pools, the people...it was beautiful. As for the flight, I couldn't have asked for a more well behaved baby on the flight, she just slept the whole time. Im one lucky mommy :)

Here are some reesey highlights from the trip:
-all the jamaicans loved her. they knew her name and always talked to her. I have a new found love for them, they are genuinely nice and very respectful.
-as expected, she hated the sand but loved the water. She could have stayed in the pool all day but I wanted to make sure she still took her naps AND the carribbean sun is NO JOKE. Babygirl got super tan.
-loved virgin miami vices (mix of pina colada and strawberry daquiri)
-i wasnt a big fan of the food, but reese still managed to grub on a whole lot! check out her ice cream picture.

Here are a few pics.....look how blue the water is!!! i want to go back right now :(

I am already trying to plan our next vacation!!!

And she copies whatever daddy does, including doing pushups!!! yes everyone. she is already more athletic than her mama. here is a little video of her doing her pushups a couple months ago. her form is even better now.

easter 2009

sorry!! i've already been slacking on uploading pics and blogging and I just created this page. i should rename this blog, "our every month adventures" :(

anyways, where did April go? seriously! I can't believe its going to be May tomorrow. Reese had some fun these past few weeks that I need to catch you guys up on.
Easter 2009:
We set up an easter egg hunt for Reesey at our local neighborhood park. This was her first time since she was a little too young last Easter. She quickly started to understand the whole "find the egg and put in basket" concept. First we pointed to the eggs and she would smile and laugh when she saw it. Then she started finding the eggs on her own. Soon her basket was too heavy for her to carry. Once she realized there was candy in the eggs, it was over. She was bouncing off the walls. We were happy to see that she enjoyed the egg hunt!

spotting the egg

i got one!

can't hide from me

i'm so good

the basket is getting heavy

time to go home with my eggs

reese in the city

Okay, so lets start getting some pictures up here! This past weekend was action packed for little Reese. We started off going to a basketball game on Thursday night, Wizards vs. Cavaliers, at the Verizon Center. Anytime we go to a game, everyone always asks, "Do you guys bring Reese?"... of course we do! Reese has gone to every single basketball game with us since she's been born. Her first game (and shall I add first Pistons game) was when she was about four months old! Here's the proof....

We bring her to games, not because we don't have a babysitter, but because we want to expose her to the NBA as early in her life as possible (as you may or may not know, she's was born to huge nba fans!!!). Plus, we love to take full advantage of the fact that she's FREE! Anyways, we couldn't have picked a more exciting game to go to. She clapped and cheered every time the crowd did, making her dad very proud. She also danced along to the music. Reesey also enjoyed her cheese pizza and of course her banana split Dippin' Dots!! On our way out, we bought her a pink Wizards ball so she could practice at home!

On Sunday, we went to the city to see the Cherry Blossoms with her Auntie Joy. It was an absolute beautiful day outside! The Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom. Reese had fun walking around looking at all the dogs, but she didnt notice the flowers much...haha! maybe when she is a little older! Overall, we had a great weekend :)
